Introduction
CYAPA (China Youth Animal Protection Alliance) is a volunteer team for animal protection which is established by the youth who always concern and devote attention to animal protection. Members of the alliance are mainly the directors of the animal protection group in domestic universities. They publicize the knowledge of the animal protection and improve the situation.
The Definition of CYAPA
CYAPA spreads the knowledge via network and universities, and cooperates with China university environmental communities, China university animal protection groups, animal protection NGOs, animal protection research institutions and government agencies. Prime target group is students of Chinese universities. Then we will broad the target zone to the primary school students and people in society. Through spreading knowledge we forge a sense of protecting animals, raise awareness of protecting animals in whole society attention and promote the harmony between human and animals.
The Meaning of CYAPA
The purpose of animal protection broadcast is to improve public, especially youth’s essential awareness of animal protection so that we can make great animal protection process in China. To achieve this goal, the Chinese youth should not only establish the right idea of respecting lives, be friendly to animals and prohibit animal abuse, but also perfect the Chinese animal protection legislation construction. It is important to strengthen the youth team spirit during the educational campaign and talent training in animal protection.
The Aim of CYAPA
1. Foster a group of youth which has deep understanding on respect of life, ethical treatment of animals and active in the project of protect animals as well as academician animal protecting organizations. These organizations and individuals will contribute to protect animals in China and broadcast the right idea about protecting animals.
2. By way of promoting youth realization on animal protecting, perfect public’s acknowledge on animal protecting and getting the whole society involved in animal protection, we work together to promote animals’ living standard.
3. Popularize the principal of respecting life, treat animals ethically and prohibit abuse animals, promote the developing of China animals protecting education and construct an animal friendly society which “every person care animal and every person pay attention to animal protection” human and animals live together harmoniously.
